Needless to say, this day has been long awaited by Americans...the end of insanity and the introduction of sanity to the White House. Who knew that sanity would be riding the coat tails of a charismatic African American who took the world by storm? No one knew, even if they secretly hoped.
Mr. President, although you have the most important job in the world and we know that you're armed with a shovel to clean up the dung that was left behind, know that we're beside you with our shovels. Needless to say, it's been a long time since Americans have rallied and supported a Presidential administration in such a unified and sincere way. Dare I say the Kennedy's? I wasn't even a twinkle in my mother's eye, as she were a child herself! We know that it's not going to be an easy road and that the change we believe in will not occur over night.
Mr. President, thank you for standing up for what you believe in and giving the "common folk" a seat at the table. You exemplify the very heart of America. Coming from modest means and working to achieve your dreams...you are a reminder that anything is possible with hard work and perseverence. Although I too, have taken the path less traveled, your public example solidifies the truth that anything is possible. One day, I can tell my children that they can do whatever they put their mind to...even becoming President of the United States of America.
Mr. President, the road will be rough in the days, months, and years ahead...this you know. You have my prayers and utmost support as you take our country to the next level. I look forward to mended relationships and greater opportunities, as well as a renewed sense of hope and optimism throughout the world. It was inevitable that change would come and I'm so glad that change has begun with you.
Congratulations Mr. President, we look forward to working with you.
